Description

Full refurbishment works to two operating theatres at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital have been successfully completed for the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

The initial sequence of our works included the complete strip-out of the existing theatres, before undertaking the refit of all mechanical and electrical systems, the provision and installation of extensive medical equipment including supply of medical gases, hygienic wall and floor surfaces, and fully fitted surgeon panels.

The completed project provides the hospital with two fully refurbished operating theatres and all ancillary facilities, including preparation and anaesthetic areas, scrubbing-in rooms and post-operative observation areas.

The project was carefully planned to keep disruption to a minimum within the live hospital environment, with site logistics managed to maintain full health & safety requirements. The work forms part of a wider strategy for the development of the Kent & Canterbury Hospital site, and is a continuation of our extensive work in collaboration with 2gether Support Solutions and the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
