Description

This project for the RNLI Lifeboat House in Ramsgate was carried out to extend the existing façade, enabling the accommodation of a larger in-shore rescue boat.

To deliver the live emergency service station, we maintained regular communication with the Lifeboat service personnel throughout the project to enable the station to remain in full use.

The frontage of the existing boathouse was extended through the use of steel frame construction on the apron of the site, before being seamlessly clad externally to match the existing building.

The success of the project was recognised after it was officially opened with Royal approval by the Princess Royal.
