Description

The construction of new retail and community space on the site of Peters Village, a new development which lies on the River Medway near Wouldham.

Handed over in March 2022, this new development provides a new Co-op food store, 3 retail units and a Community Hall.

The new Co-op food store, designed to provide a focal point to the retail offer, will run on 100% renewable energy. This enhances the Peters Village commitment to a sustainable transport plan, nurturing of rare wildlife and the local Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The scheme has also benefitted from local input. For instance, the Community Hall was delivered 25% larger than initially proposed, and includes changing rooms for the playing fields next door to maximise the value the new community facilitiy offers to those using the site.
