Description

The works at Sussex Street were delivered as a Design & Build contract, providing new homes in an established area of Ramsgate located close to the town centre. This project is an excellent example of how a derelict site can be successfully transformed to provide much-needed new homes.

These new properties consist of two 3-bed houses and six 2-bed flats, situated on a small parcel of land that previously housed a number of old garage units, which had become a target for graffiti and waste.

The project was sensitively designed and built to maximise the space available, whilst also carefully considering the proximity of properties adjoining the site. They feature a communal garden to the flats and private gardens to each of the new houses, as well as excellent connectivity to the town centre.

With each of the new homes now fully occupied, the properties provide high quality affordable housing in a central location. They mark the completion of Phase 3 of Thanet District Council's housing regeneration strategy.
