Description

Work is now complete for this internal remodelling and refurbishment of the Central Services Sterile Department at Medway Maritime Hospital, reconfiguring and improving the existing facilities.

The work was carried out to an expediated programme, with consideration given throughout to enhanced security standards due to the site's proximity to fully operational wards, occupied in part by children, elderly and mental health patients. We kept disruption to a minimum within the live hospital environment, with site logistics carefully managed to maintain full health & safety requirements.

The finished project provides much-needed new storage facilities, built to specialist standards to store sterile equipment, resources and products in an uncontaminated environment. The remodelled space also provides much-improved working areas for the NHS staff, including new offices, staff and meeting rooms.

This is one of several projects our Special Works team have undertaken in collaboration with this client, and adds to our extensive portfolio of projects in the hospital and healthcare sector.
