Description

We are currently delivering electrical infrastructure works at William Harvey Hospital to support the future construction of the new Stroke Unit.

The project, undertaken for 2gether Support Solutions on behalf of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (EKHUFT),involves major electrical re-feeding works across the hospital. The scope includes the installation of extensive underground ducting and pull pits to create new cabling routes, together with the installation of new LV switch panels.

Delivering the works within a live hospital environment has presented significant logistical constraints, including operating in and around the mortuary, managing activities adjacent to busy internal traffic routes, and coordinating works alongside existing buried services.

Given the critical nature of the hospital’s electrical infrastructure, the programme has required detailed planning of strategic shutdowns, with close coordination between our site team and the hospital estates department to ensure continuity of essential services is maintained at all times.
