Description

Following on from the successful delivery of Phases 1A and 1B for Megger, we were delighted to have been awarded a further contract. The most recent phase of works involved the delivery of a new ‘Switch room’ building and the refurbishment to the original generator housing.

Working alongside UKPN, the project involved the relocation of the old electrical transformers to a new area and the installation of a new 700KVA back-up generator and a new GRP (Glass-fibre Reinforced Polyester) enclosure.

The contract was carried out over a 16-week programme with the cutting-out and the construction of a new retaining wall. Now the installation of the new GRP enclosure is completed, all power supply to the old and newly built factories has been changed to the new equipment over a four-week duration, whilst the factory remained occupied and in production.
